storm palette

If was an incredible evening, the sky rumbling with the threat of a serious storm (still yet to break), the contrast between the ominous dark scene from the front of my apartment with the glowing orange (reminiscent of fire storms) scene from the back of my apartment was quite startling.

...you know I want those birds below! I missed out on that choco experience. And I hear that there are bluer and brighter days for Melbourne- there's always a rainbow after a storm(?). Good news about hubbie back in town! sx

Thank you ss and Lauren. I just couldn't believe it was the same sky at the same moment.
Sandra, Yep, I know you want the birds. unfortunately they're a bit grotty, I had them on the kitchen shelf for a while - and I've lost important bits and a couple of the magpies during moves - very sad. As for blue skies.... huh!!... nothin but grey wet days for the rest of the week. M's not happy after arriving home from 6 weeks of the same (but much much colder - as many of you are very aware of!) weather in Europe.
Katrine, I love that you have come to visit. And you're very welcome re the comment. It's the best Xmas card design I've seen. Love it love it LOVE IT (wish I had created it in fact!!)

Absolutely no sign of snow here Lilli! It's officially summer this week, and the day the photos were taken was warm and sticky.
